THE COURSE

The courses are marked. Blue Markers are at 180 meters, White are at 135 meters, Red Markers are 100 meters from the center of the green.

FORE!!!

Hole 1 The Valley.jpg

A good challenging opening hole to start off the day. A straight drive is important with out of bounds to the right and players hitting a second shot from the top of the hill.

Hole 2 Skyline.jpg

The second is uphill all the way to the green. Take into account the upslope when making club selection for your approach shot.

Hole 3 The Drop.jpg

A lovely short hole that requires good club selection. The green is significantly below the tee and slopes from back to front, so anything above the hole will be quick when putting.

Hole 4 Roundabout.jpg

A good drive is required to set up the second shot. Big hitters can reach this green in two and set set up an easy birdie.

Hole 5 Hope.jpg

A straight drive here is the key, with a hazard on the right and trees bordering the left. A green side bunker just to the right of the green will catch offline shots.

Hole 6 The Wrecker.jpg

Out of Bounds on the left side and the fairway slopes all the way down from an elevated tee. The elevated green will mean one or even two extra clubs for your approach.

Hole 7 The Donger.jpg

A short Par 4 that can not be taken lightly. The fairway slopes to the left towards heavy rough so a drive down the right side is ideal. Don't go over the back of the green as a hard up and down is on the cards!

Hole 8 The Gap.jpg

A middle to long iron is the choice of club in this testing PAR 3. Golfers should favour the right hand portion of the green as it falls away on the left.

Hole 9 Long Fellow.jpg

The longest hole on the course. Reachable in two only by the biggest hitters. Keeping right on your second shot is ideal.

Hole 10 Orchard.jpg

A great start to the back nine with this moderate Par 3. The only real worry is missing the green to the right which falls away quite drastically.

Watch Flyover
Hole 11 Calamity.jpg

A tough uphill driving hole with trouble on both sides. Any approach shot right of the green falls away and will require a good shot to get back on.

Watch Flyover
Hole 12 Tipperary.jpg

A straight par 5 with Out of Bounds all the way down the left side and a tree line down the right.
Beware of bunkers on either side of the green.

Hole 13 Relief.jpg

Longest Par 3 of the course that requires a long iron or wood. Par is a good score here.

Hole 14 Fairways.jpg

A medium length Par 5. After a good drive keep left off the fairway to have a good angle into the green.

Hole 15 Way Back.jpg

The elevated tee should give golfers confidence to hit a good drive to a wide fairway. A long green calls for an
accurate club selection to avoid a long putt. A good miss is left as the bunker shelters the right hand side.

Hole 16 Maungatautari.jpg

A hole where good rounds have been known to be ruined. Golfers can't see the putting surface from the fairway so take more club for the approach.

Watch Flyover
Hole 17 Temptation.jpg

A reachable Par 4 that gives most golfer's a chance to make birdie. Bunkers guard the front of the green and will catch any approach that comes up short.

Watch Flyover
Hole 18 Anticipation.jpg

Doglegs sharply to the left so a long iron or hybrid is the optimal play off the tee. With a 2 tier green keep an eye on the pin placement.
